An Outline of the Workbook

A Guide To The Reader

This workbook could well have many diverse readers, looking for different kinds of information and assistance. This outline is mean to provide you, the reader, with a guide to the different parts, chapters, and appendices.

Primarily, the workbook has been written for people who are interested in and concerned about Big Brothers Big Sisters programs and Boys and Girls Clubs. You might already be connected to an existing Big Brothers Big Sisters agency, or a Boys and Girls Club: a volunteer, a Board member, or a staff person. Or, you might be a general community member.

Wherever possible, general language has been used. Thus, the workbook could also provide useful information and assistance if you are interested in programs for children and young people beyond those typically found in Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies and Boys and Girls Clubs.
