Chapter 9: Deep Partnering And Merger Processes

Initiating A Partnering Conversation

The third step is to test the waters with the 2 or 3 potential partners that you have identified. Find out who their key leaders are, at both staff and Board levels. Meet with them informally to see if they have any interest in working with you. The goal ought to be to find at least one potential partner that is interested in beginning a more serious and lengthy conversation.
