The second step is to identify potential partners.
- You might look at your local community first. Are there other, perhaps small, organizations that are active in the same kind of work? Are there, perhaps larger, community service agencies that are well established, well respected, and have a fit with your activities? Are there partnership opportunities locally?
- You might look in your region. Are there other Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies or Boys and Girls Clubs nearby that are facing similar sustainability challenges? Is there a larger Big Brothers Big Sisters agency or Boys and Girls Club in a neighbouring town that might become a “hub” for a partnership? Are there partnership opportunities area-wide?
Brainstorming may create an interesting list of potential partners. You cannot explore them all at once. The best bet is to pick 2 or 3 that seem to have “fit” and potential.
